Help with green sand casting for concave shapes

I want to do a green sand mold using a wax pattern for an aluminium cast. I tried oil based clay at first, since that is what I'm used to sculpting for ultracal molds (side question anyone tried aluminium casting with an ultracal 30 mold?) Turns out clay doesn't work well for ramming green sand, go figure.
